Abstract Infinitely variable transmission (IVT) is a system which delivers the ratio between two turning elements to continuous (non-discrete) variation (including zero). This article uses Solidworks software build and simulate cam-based IVT system. There are identical units in under examination. Each unit comprises cam with an oscillating slot connection that swings on hinge can be vertically shifted by changing rate. modifier power screw or hydraulic ram.
